St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Red Hill is a congregation of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
To be a spiritual community called to know, love and serve God as ambassadors of Christ in the world.
To fulfill our mission we are committed to be a spiritual community that:
- Fosters an understanding, enthusiasm, and love of scripture and Jesus Christ.
- Promotes the nurturing of a church family through worship, fellowship, stewardship, and service.
- Supports a community of faith through education, evangelism, social ministry and outreach programs.
A spiritual community
We are a spiritual community centered in God’s Word and the sacramental gifts of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. Through the waters of baptism, studying of God’s Word and sharing of Holy Communion we are called, renewed and sent to be ambassadors of Christ for service in the world.
What we believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Word of God through whose life, death and resurrection God fashions a new creation and calls us into community. We believe that the Bible is the cradle of God’s Word and witness to God’s redemptive work in the world. Through studying the Bible and the activity of the Holy Spirit we expand our understanding of how God is at work in history, our lives, the church and world.
Faith active in service
We are called in daily life by the Holy Spirit to demonstrate God’s love to others through Christian service.
We serve the Upper Perkiomen community through programs like the Upper Perkiomen Child Care Center, weekly support groups, scouting and youth programs, small group ministries, and service groups.
We connect with neighboring congregations and local community organizations to address local needs through the Upper Perkiomen Ministerium, Upper Montgomery Lutheran Conference, and Care in Community program of the Upper Montgomery Chapter of Thrivent.
We collaborate with the the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia by preparing individuals for pastoral leadership in the church through the pastoral internship program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We have mentored over 15 pastoral interns in preparation for ordained ministry and have grown with these individuals in their faith, service and Christian witness. Pastoral Interns have come from Connecticut, East Germany, Kenya, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
We work in partnership with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to address regional and international hunger needs, disaster response and missionary support.
In 2012 we celebrated twenty-five years of:
- faith formation and Christian service through the Appalachia Service Project, an inter-generational home repairs ministry of St. Paul’s Church – Red Hill..
- early childhood education, and before and after school programing through the Upper Perkiomen Child Care Center, an educational ministry of St. Paul’s Church – Red Hill which serves over 125 children annually.
We are located on a forty-five acre country campus at 1244 St. Paul’s Church Road in Upper Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, just outside the Borough of Red Hill. We view our church facility to be a blessing and open our doors in a variety of ways to welcome others. Founded in the early 1700s, we are grateful for our past and hopeful for the future as we experience God’s amazing grace at work in our lives, community and world.
